*HOMEWORK: Students should gather images of landscapes and figures (people) for inspiration and resource to create their final composition. Collect from magazines, personal photos, calendars, newpapers,internet, ect. Look for both interior and exterior images.

Project Description: students will create a line drawing in ink using various line techniques to show texture and value contrasts. Compositions must include a figure, foreground, middleground and background.

Key Vocabulary: Line, technique, line quality, texture, visual texture, real texture, tone, shading, value, contrast, figure, subject, focal point, foreground, middle-ground, background, composition, balance, creativity, talent, observation

Evaluation: Students work will be evaluated on their development of ideas and their final presentation. A grading rubric will be provided.
